Quinnipiac University's Swing State Poll

Interestingly enough, I was one of those contacted here in Ohio to participate in this poll that was just released, Clinton Leads Among Ohio, Pennsylvania Likely Dem Voters.

While I'm still not going to pretend I think these polls represent magical information beyond how those of us who were contacted feel, it was kind of interesting to see my own answers end up being the same as a majority of Ohio voters, except for the question of who did I think would win if it was McCain versus Clinton, I picked Clinton.

New York Sen. Hillary Clinton has commanding leads, especially among women, over Illinois Sen. Barack Obama among likely Democratic primary voters in the critical swing states of Ohio and Pennsylvania, according to Quinnipiac University's Swing State Poll, three simultaneous surveys of voters in states that have been pivotal in presidential elections since 1964. In these two states and Florida, a swing state that already conducted a primary, Arizona Sen. John McCain, the Republican front-runner, is running neck and neck with either Sen. Clinton or Sen. Obama. Results are:

* Florida: McCain 44 percent - Clinton 42 percent; McCain 41 percent - Obama 39 percent;
* Ohio: McCain 44 percent - Clinton 43 percent; McCain 42 percent - Obama 40 percent;
* Pennsylvania: Clinton 46 percent - McCain 40 percent; Obama 42 percent - McCain 41 percent.

Clinton leads Obama 55 - 34 percent among likely Democratic primary voters in Ohio and 52 - 36 percent among likely Democratic primary voters in Pennsylvania

Among Ohio Democrats, women back Clinton 56 - 30 percent while men back her 52 - 42 percent. Clinton leads 64 - 28 percent among white Democrats, while Obama leads 64 - 17 percent among black voters.

It also shows the divide when it comes to race and sex in the Democratic race here in Ohio with a majority of women supporting Clinton and a majority of blacks supporting Obama. There are a lot of people who are saying if it comes down to McCain versus Clinton that McCain would win, but here in Ohio, 87% of the Democrats who were asked that question picked Clinton over McCain...Obama only got 77% of the Democrats when asked what their vote would be if it were between Obama & McCain.

Hillary is out of touch with the average american. She claims to care but how can she when she voted for medical bills to show on one's credit report. People should take note to her way of thinking and realize that all her talking is just that, talk.
