Glenn Beck says Conservative Radio is not dead

It should come as no surprise that after the hoards of Conservative Talk Show hosts that took a stand against McCain are now faced with the reality that it does not appear most of their listenership...listened...that some of them would "explain" why despite the daily missives being delivered that it appears talk radio listeners decided to vote for McCain anyway. Glenn Beck is one of the first.

Despite the fact that I'm not a fan of Beck at all, and I'd rather have a tooth pulled than to ever have to sit through one of his shows as I did once here in Toledo, he does make some valid points. What is really true in this situation is that conservative talk radio does not have the power that many like to believe that numbers of listeners does not automatically translate into mindless droves of people who will vote one way or the other. Of course logic dictates this would also apply to progressive radio as well, but it's clear Beck doesn't follow that train of logic to it's natural conclusion believing that somehow conservative talk radio listeners are different.

That said, it has to be frustrating for those who have spent the past few weeks trying to eliminate McCain to see him be the clear winner. I can promise though that for me? Hillary ending up in the White House would not drive me to conservative radio...
