How Congress votes by...astrological sign...

I was reading this Washington Post article about the events yesterday in Washington and the historic moment of a woman being Speaker of the House. The article also talks about some of the votes that started happening as the Democrats try to fullfil their promises about the first 100 hours. As they have done for quite some time, the Washington Post provides a link to recent bills passed. Something that always makes me chuckle is seeing included in the list of statistical breakdowns you can do for a vote is, "By Astrological Sign". Sure, I'm positive that being an Aquarius or a Pisces might just have something to do with a vote position. (Yes, I'm joking.) However, at least I do know that there are 23 other fellow Pisces in the 110th House and that Cancers and Geminis have the largest number in the House, each with 50. There is no information yet on the 110th Senate so we'll have to wait to see where they stand astrologically....

Speaking of astrological signs, I am a Sagittarius. Another name for Sagittarius is Archer.
I am also a science fiction fan.
The name of the lead character in Star Trek: Enterprise, the prequel to the Star Trek franchise, as played by Scott Bakula was Captain Jonathan Archer.
Let's hope Congress is like Sagittarius, or more specifically, like an accurate Archer and be right on target. May Congress be progressive and go where no one has gone before.

Rather than in the past where it could have been described as the "Twilight Zone"?

Astrology was good enough for the First Lady when Reagan was in office...it should be good enough for us, too!

Let's hope we don't revisit the Twilight Zone for quite a while... ;-)
