I wrote not long ago about Thanksgiving and the whole vegetarian aspect and said I would never go as far as a tofu turkey. In our
local newspaper today the food editor mentioned "Tofurky", so I set out to see if I could find a picture of what this might look like.
Which I found at
Turtle Island Foods
Looks interesting...

Don't do it. Tofurky is sacrilege
Don't worry, it looks interesting because I was curious as to what it looked like but I'm sticking with the traditional turkey. Even though I can't eat it yet - I'm still dealing with soft diet bs.
At least I know how to get a hold of "Stanley Steamer" if we throw food around.
:-)
YUCK, that just looks GROSS! I'm not a turkey eater, nor are my kids, so only every other year do I actually make a turkey. On the "off" years we either have tacos or this baked sandwich thingy that I make often with homemade soup. This year is one of those "off" years.....YAY!!!! Although hubby says I should make a turkey anyway...LOL
Are you getting better? Turkey can be used as leftovers for months.
No, not yet - it looks like I'm going to have to end up having surgery if things don't improve soon.
It also looks like Miguel is still planning on going to CT during Thanksgiving (don't ask me how that is supposed to happen with the way I feel) so I'll either make a turkey for people here or if we go there his mom will cook. Then of course try to make sure that there are things Erin can eat since she doesn't eat meat.
