Progress on my domain building

As most of you know, one of the reasons I wanted to get involved with PayPerPost was to be able to do things like move my other blog into it's own domain. This blog is going to stay right where it is but I wanted to try to learn some new things and to try to enhance what I can do as far as providing information on the local issues I blog about over on Glass City Jungle. I remember how happy I was when I felt comfortable learning how to play with the CSS templates for my blogs, well now I'm trying to learn Wordpress since that's what I'm using on the domain and wow...is it much more complicated as far as tweaking. Granted the additional features that are avaiable are awesome but...it appears I am going to get my wish about learning more.

I can't get the wordpress to cooperate to transition to the front page of the domain like it says you can do so, I had to create a entry page for the time being until I figure that out, but I'm getting there.

I quit trying to learn more and went for getting it to work. You know more than I do though so you shouldn't have a problem. Now, I will try to learn more since it seems to work most of the time

I know very little about the technical stuff. I just plug away at using whatever I can. Whenever I need help, I call Ghost Busters - well, actually I really call my nephew Jason over at The Glitch or my son Adam over at The Yippie Show. They know a heck of a lot more about the technical end than I.

Jason has helped me before too, which I greatly appreciate.

Which reminds me, what happened to your site? Is the republispin where you're posting now?

Yes, he is posting over on Republispin now.

My new local place if you wanna check it out is here

Alas, Janesville's just too small for that level of local coverage. Plus, I'm too busy to do it myself. But, if I lived in the area, I guarantee I'd be checking in there regularly. As it is, there's little I can do about Ohio politics.

It looks good, though. Different from what I remember, but good!

I like the banner pic Lisa. Sherry is working on one for my site. That will be the last change I make for a while. I mean it this time.

Lisa,

Are you able to transfer your blog in its entirety, or will you lose the archive?

Hooda - when you get a chance to visit the new place for Glass City - here you'll see I was able to transfer almost all of my old posts. A few things like images that I uploaded thru blogspot don't transfer and I'll keep the old Glass City Jungle alive rather than delete it as a second reference point. But...Wordpress did successfully transfer a good majority of not only my old posts but the comments too.

I noticed there is no search engine for the blog which I have to add but the category tagging will be useful for helping myself and readers to find what has been discussed before. I have to manually go thru and put the old posts into categories though...
