I wasn't ready to move - there are still things at the house that need to be finished or at least to me needed to be finished. Silly little things like a bathroom door, vent covers, a few light fixtures and we need two new basement windows to be installed. As well as knobs for the kitchen cabinets. Things that were said would be done before we moved in.
However...Miguel got tired of waiting. Granted I'm tired of waiting too but some of this stuff we knew was going to take a bit of time.
So we talked about moving this weekend, which I was against. He was for. Last night it was left at that we would wait until next weekend. (Yes I thought I won the discussion). This morning I woke up and all of my living room stuff was loaded up in a U-haul truck. (Don't ask me how I slept thru it.) Yes, he moved all of the stuff by himself. Granted the man is very strong, he's not that tall but to quote my father "He's built like a frickin mini-linebacker". So, we're moving today.
In less than five hours with some help from me once I realized it was beyond the point of return, all of the heavy stuff that a truck would be needed for is over at the house. Just some boxes and my kitchen stuff left to pack.

Sometimes, guys just want to get things done instead of hanging over their heads... dangling..., for "frickin" ever...
It's the waiting that kills us . Drives us nuts, like the Japanese water torture.
Drip, drip, drip, drip, drip, drip, drip, drip, drip, drip, drip, drip, drip, drip, drip, drip, drip, drip, drip, drip, drip, drip, drip, drip, Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!
I hope you survive the move too Lisa :-)
Sounds like my kind of guy. If only he liked good beer. We once had a piano on a U-Haul that we were waiting for help to come over and get it off the truck, but I got tired of waiting. I moved the piano off a truck by myself and learned that I need more patience.
Lisa:
A little off-topic (ok a lot off topic) but I ran across this story this evening:
remember the paper clip guy?
Seem he got his house!
Ugh. Nothing worse than moving.
Sounds like he did all the hard work.
I think I know how you felt...I was soo busy fixing up unfinished projects at my house in Toledo before we left. I hope you and your managerie are happy in your new place!
Best regards from NY!
