Two names rarely mentioned anymore...

Michael Scott Speicher Status change from MIA to Missing/Captured October 2002...More information on him

Confirmed Captured: USAR SGT Keith M. Maupin DOI 09 APR 04

When I read articles like this Washington Post article on the two soldiers who were taken prisoner and I read this:

The two soldiers were the first to be missing in the Iraq war since Sgt. Keith M. Maupin of Batavia, Ohio, was captured on April 9, 2004, when insurgents ambushed his fuel convoy west of Baghdad.

A week later, al-Jazeera television aired a videotape showing Maupin, 20, sitting on a floor surrounded by five masked men holding automatic rifles.

It would be nice if they would take a moment to note that Keith Maupin is still listed as captured and his remains have not been found and Scott Speicher's family still has no information on him, nor has his remains been found.

For these families, until they have their loved one returned to them either alive or their remains they are faced with the never ending wondering, so the least we can do is to remember them...

Unfortunately I am pretty sure that both are dead, but it would be nice to find the bodies. I don't know how possible that is since we have destroyed the regime that had Speicher and insurgent groups have been destroyed or moved. Without their help, Iraq is a big place to find someone.
