New information concerning plants and methane

Tired of talking about Alito and want to sink your teeth into some scientific discussion? The Real Ugly American has just the post you will want to check out. I know from past discussions some of you are interested in this topic so head on over and chime in.

Lisa,

If the author of "Kyoto Be Damned!" were say 3 or 4 hundred years old, they might just have a different perspective on what constitutes global warming and what constituted weather cycles.

IMO...

I thought the research was interesting, and thought it might end up being a fun discussion. In what's becoming a pattern Stephanie and I agree. Yes, we both obviously are very smart women....

There is only one thing we can do. Kill all of the vegetation on the planet. And cows too. They produce massive amounts of earth warming gasses.

Suddenly I'm not feeling so guilty for forgetting to water my plants....

(I really had nothing intelligent or interesting to say... it's just that I've been so busy this week, I haven't been visiting many blogs... and I didn't want you to think I'd forgotten you.) :)

Val, I know how hectic things can get. However, when has not having anything intelligent to say stopped us? Thankfully I haven't instituted my required number of visits per week yet so you are safe (lol)

I can agree with that readily enough!

For me, the interesting (read crazy here) thing was that I was just debating the Greenhouse effect with myself earlier that day (at the expense of the therapists who are required to be in my home, and really have no retreat from my monologues and didn't have a clue what I was talking about).

btw, the therapists are for my children, not me. I'm not REALLY crazy, my pyschiatrist told me so.

Thank you for leading me to this site. I'm enjoying the link Ugly American provided. I especially like this quote:

"In 1978 I was arrested off Newfoundland for sitting on a baby seal without permission of the Canadian Minister of Fisheries. I was trying to shield it from the hunter's club. I was convicted; under the draconianly named Seal Protection Regulations that made it illegal to protect seals. In 1984 baby seal skins were banned from European markets, effectively ending the slaughter."
