Some of my friends on the left side of the blogosphere spent quite a bit of blog space going after those on the conservative side who penned posts that they thought were smears against Barack Obama. They also went after media sources and at times even individuals who were quoted in a newspaper or a television interview to correct them when they thought they were misinformed. So, you would think that this group dedicated to the truth would not commit the same acts that they took issue with wouldn't you?
Alas that is not the case and the smears and lies and half truths being spread about Sarah Palin has created a reversal, where only a few remain constant in their efforts to blog as close to the truth as they can.
The list of Palin rumors that have been debunked has grown quite large, considering she's only been the VP candidate for just over a week? It's no surprise that a majority of Americans think the press is being unfair to her. Want to see how silly it is? Take one of the stupidest rumors, that Palin had an affair and Google it - 799,000 for Palin had affair...Look how long it took the MSM to cover John Edwards affair after the National Enquirer first reported it and then reported it again. Yet in Palin's case? The MSM picked it up quickly...
The true loss from this election is that people are discovering that they can't trust the media, that what used to be their source of information when it came to candidates or positions, is not trustworthy. Unfortunately some blogs are proving that they are not either...

I've been disgusted by some of our mutual blogger friends that are smearing her multiple times a day on a daily basis yet claim to be carrying the mantra of feminism.
