Her sexual preference has no bearing on how she was treated, there are many women who prefer short hair and appear to be more masculine that are not lesbians. I know of several women who could be mistaken for men who are not lesbians and several women who are very feminine who are lesbians...

Her sexuality has nothing to do with it, but it got you to read the article.
I agree with Lisa Renee - I don't think sexuality has anything to do with this - except in the victim's (or her lawyers') mind.
Nobody should be treated like that, but I have a feeling the article did not tell the entire story of why the bouncer acted as he did.
