Photo Hunt - Fake....
I'm by nature a political blogger, here and my other blog Glass City Jungle, so my first instinct when thinking about today's theme was providing a picture of one of the politicians I've come across that have turned out to be "fake". However, the decision of which one and then the knowledge that most of you who don't live in the Toledo area wouldn't know who that particular person was made me think harder...Then *voila*! I remembered this giant fake phone that was a part of one of the parades I attended last year. As part of what I do for my local political blog I cover most of the parades and festivals where candidates are out there doing their "meet and greet" the voters activities and some of the parades, like this one in Waterville, Ohio have floats from local businesses. So...reach out and touch someone and make sure to visit other Photo Hunt participants this week.

That's sure a big telephone for Godzilla. Nice take. Happy 070707 and a Happy Weekend :) http://crizlai.blogspot.com/2007/07/photo-hunters-fake.html
So...is this a bin collecting phones for a cause? You captured it well seeing the car and house behind so you get an idea of the sizing.
Good point Criz Lai, Godzilla would be able to use that phone. Betty Jane, it was to promote that local phone company and to show their support for the local community that was holding the parade. Using it to recycle old phones would be a great idea though.
:-)
That's one heck of a big phone. Happy weekend.
Very nice! :-D FAKE Photo Hunt
that is great!! I love your take on the theme.
Excellent choice for the theme. Well everyone can see those buttons.
GREAT GREAT GREAT photo for this theme...maybe because I myself will be in a parade...in 3 weeks..have you ever attended the TwinsDay Festival in Twinsburg, Ohio? 1st full weekend in August...This will be my twin and my 2oth consecutive trip there...speaking of parades, yes, thats where the politicians come out and "play". My photo is up, please come and visit, and while youre at it, read a bit of my blog...
BIG. I hope a telecom will create something as big as this for real, just for kicks. Haha. Have a great weekend. :)
Fantastic idea for a float. They did a great job at it. Good choice for fake.

This reminds me that my brother has had a horrible time getting phone and internet service in Germany this year... the telecommunication workers are on strike and then off and nothing seems to work in the apartment he is in for three months. He needs one of these giant phones!
