Another time wasting moment will happen later today around 5:30 p.m. when the Senate Democrats who have organized a no confidence vote to be held on Attorney General Gonzales.
Why do I say it's a time wasting moment? We've already well established that the President of the United States, George Bush, does not care about public opinion or even what a majority of Democrats in Congress think. For quite some time now it's been clearly obvious a large majority of people disapproves of Gonzales and that has made zero, zip, difference in Bush's decision to not remove Gonzales.
It's another endless pr moment that will get media attention when there are more important issues facing the Senate right now that should be their focus. I realize there will be those of you who believe this kind of congressional activity is important but I ask you, when has during this presidency has it worked?

I would be for it if it mattered, but it doesn't. I think President Bush would keep Gonzales if for no other reason then to have someone who looks more incompetent than he is.
Lisa, Lisa, Lisa...
Since when has Congress been about doing anything that works. No, it's about conning voters into thinking they're being represented while selling the country off piece-meal to special interests.
If Congress actually did something that worked -- that actually solved a problem -- then they would not have that issue to make promises on next election cycle. That's too steep a price for our representatives to pay for progress. After all, what matters more, this country and her citizens or getting re-elected? I mean, really.
Stephanie's being cynical.
Accurate, but cynical none the less.
By Jove I think she's got it!
Who are those sad Americans who still believe that George W. bush is an honest man? Who are left believing that he appointed competent and honest men and women to high places in our government?
Surely there are few; the numbers are thinning each day. Yet, there is a potential for much more damage to our democracy by this group now in power for the next year and a half.
Be on guard.
