Earlier suggestions of backing down may not be accurate...

Is it playing to the media in an attempt to see if they can garner more public support or can the Democrats really stick to their attempts to get a pull out date on the Iraq war somehow tied to funding...

That seems to be part of the debate on House Democratic leaders not ready to back down on military funding bill. The key issue to all of this is will it get any republican support, which despite some of the suggestions being made:

• Party leaders in House are considering a bill to fund the war through July
• Clinton and Byrd propose repealing the 2002 Iraq war resolution

It really seems to be just a delay of what has already not been able to be done...
