Ties and neckties...are they just for guys?

My daughters have gone thru fashion stages where they wore ties and I have to admit I do pay attention to what kind of a necktie a man in a suit wears. Many times hints into their personality can be found by their selection of neckwear, do they have a sense of humor, are they a NFL fan, do they wear their religion around their neck?

If I were to wear a tie, what type of tie would I want to wear is something this topic made me ponder, then I found the category for art ties. I found many of my favorite classic art works that can be worn as a tie, The Creation of Adam; The Starry Night even the Mona Lisa.

I had no idea there were that many different kinds of ties out there, but it does seem that Tieguys.com lives up to their statement of being the world's largest tie store...

I love the Jerry Garcia line of ties. I also have my "Lion King" power tie and my "Winnie the Pooh" serious power tie.

Mark (my husband) refuses to wear ties. He considers them phallic and doesn't want a big arrow pointing to his genatalia. This is definitely something we have absolutely no use for. Now, if you had a link to a good place to find shirts with banded collars...

Ask and you shall receive...

link looks like some pretty nice ones - a few aren't that expensive. My son is like your husband, I also used to get a lot of his shirts at Target, they seemed to be one of the few places that had a nice selection of banded collar shirts.
