Some pictures that I took when I was doing research for my book...Ronnie Dahl did a great job on the story and I was a small part of it so I was happy to have been able to contribute to it. Not sure if anyone taped it but as of yet it's not one of the videos on 13.
This was a hard one for me - my great-grandfather's headstone could be in that pile of gravemarkers since we could not find his....
This one speaks for itself....
UPDATE: 13 ABC has added the video of the story that I was a small part of on their website. Under the Video on Demand Section it is the Forest Cemetery piece. I look uccky but the story is a very good one and I hope some good comes of it. Ronnie Dahl did an excellent job in putting the report together.

I think I should get some publisher to pay me to visit national cemetaries and other cemetaries with large concentrations of veterans. I suppose it is not correct that I love visiting those places, but there is just something about them.
Finding publishers are hard, that's why I self-published mine. But if you do find one and need an assistant?
:-)
If I find one. I will need a lot of assistants. Maybe I will find a wealthy veteran whose father is buried in Europe and wants to promote protecting national cemetaries and battlefields
Yo lady, it's Holly from Woodside! Seen ya on the news last night and my jaw dropped to the floor, you look great! The story was awesome, I went online tonight after work and read it and seen the title of your book so I googled it and found your blog. Hope ya don't mind me stopping by and saying HI!
Later!
Well HEY Holly! I don't mind you stopping by at all and thanks for the compliment.
Hope things are going great for you, the hubby and the kids - drop me a line sometime! I see you are blogging too - you and I were always such computer geeks...
:-)
Sent ya an email lady, hope to hear back. Read through your blog here and there, you've been one busy lady! And yeah, we were both puter geeks back then, I seen nothing has changed with you either ;o) Most of the time I'd give up the kids before my puter HAHA
Since noone else has typed it, and I am good at sacastic humor, if I die there on a Friday, wait until the weekend is over and bury me on Monday to get that discounted rate.
I guess that dead people aren't in the forefront of the city, since they don't vote. It is a damn shame that has happened. Cemetaries are not my favorite places to go, but when well kept, they can look nice and a relaxing place to be. That is if you can get over the fact that you are stepping over dead people.
You didn't look that bad, Lisa. Ok, maybe you weren't in you Sunday best, but you also didn't look like you were coming off a 36 hour bender either.
Nice little news piece. Hope you get results and sell more books.
Thanks C - I'm glad I didn't look like I came off of a 36 hour bender. That would def not be good. Getting connected back up with Holly was awesome so that was an added benefit of doing the interview.
:-)
When I die, I want everyone to drink for a week and then determine how to handle my body on the 6th and 7th days of being drunk
Lisa,
You did just fine. There was never anything to get nervous about, now was there?
Cyberseaer,
”I guess that dead people aren't in the forefront of the city, since they don't vote.”

You're not trying to offend the local party by any chance, are ya?
