Mass Extinction of Large Mammal Report....

I'm waiting for the dust to clear to see where some of us "formerly known as large mammals" end up.

So far it appears I'm staying with my most fantastical and favorite "Adorable Little Rodent".

Some of you have not fared as well at the present moment. Some of you are still above me...should I be envious or be happy to be in Hamsterland again...decisions, decisions...

No Government Cheese a former large mammal is now a Marauding Marsupial

TF Stern, took a major dive down to Flappy Bird

My very good buddy Me4President2008 was an Marauding Marsupial, he is now a Slithering Reptile.

Robert at Libertopia Birdseeded down to a Flappy Bird

Peter Porcupine now joins me as an Adorable Little Rodent (watch those quills - ow)

Brew at I'm just waiting for the Robot Invasion Who taught me so much has now joined the fishes...Yes.. A Flippery Fish..

Eric, at Eric's Grumbles reports the shocking news that he is now a Marauding Marsupial...when will this end? I shudder to think of who will remain a Large Mammal at the end of this day of horror....

Jonathan at Crush Liberalism I hesitate to write this because it is so horrible...he is now a Lowly Insect...Please watch your step...

poor stoothearted lad at Common Folk using Common Sense told us of his bitter pill experience of discovering a horrible Flappy Bird where his Large Mammalishness used to exist....

Peter shares with us another horror story, Brian at The Radio Equalizer who even though I'm not a fan of Michelle had heard of, has been a victim of this extinction process. He is now (I did not believe it until I saw it) like Eric, a Maurading Marsupial....

Brad and his band of Free Radicals at The Unrepentant Individual I discovered on my daily jaunt has also been extinctisized...Add another former Mammal to the Maurading Marsupial List...It appears that list is quickly becoming the former Mammal place to strive for.

Alas Left Brain Female is already suffering enough this week with sick children and now the dastardly extinction has made her join we Adorable Rodents. I fear all the lysol in the world can't restore us but hope her daughters feel better soon....

More will continue on this horrendous slaughter as the day continues...I'd suggest a moment of silence for all of us who were "formerly known as Large Mammals"....

If you would like to be included in this memorial tribute to the former mammals...please enter your info in the comments or email me. I will update status if it changes.

:-)

Trackbacked to share this day of mourning at:

Committees of Correspondence

I also recommend Eric's Post at Eric's Grumbles For a serious discussion of this issue.

I appear to have gone from Large Mammal @ #112 (nearly a Playful Primate) to Marauding Marsupial!!!!

I thought you were joking, that is really messed up, you had hundreds of links.

Well? At least you are still higher than I am, though being an Adorable Little Roden is awesome...

Watch the exoskeleton, folks...I break easily! ;-)

I'll show my ignorance here (that's rhetorical, people!):

How does one improve one's ranking on the ecosystem? Incoming links? Outgoing links? Trackbacks, to/from? Blogrolling?

Any advice appreciated, from a once-Slithering Reptile to a now-Lowly Bug!

Jonathan, considering my brief spotlight as a "Large Mammal" I've discovered from seeing those who survived the "Black Sunday Massacre" that the only real way to move up is to join alot of blogrolls. Something I've chosen to be very selective about.

Bright side Jonathan? Now I can say you are as cute as a bug!

lol

You might be the only one calling me "cute", Lisa! ;-)

awww Jonathan I thought you were cute before you became a cute little bug...now you are even cuter, more fragile...but cuter...

Shamalama, I will add you to the front page, at least that way that will give you one more link on your way to a restored mammaldom...

Lisa - as a memorial, my friend The Radio Equalizer, who was a REALLY large mammal, is now a Marsupial.

Brian was the first blogger to write about the unpaid $875,000 'loan' taken from the Gloria Wiese Girls/Boys Club funding by Air America, and has been writing about the scandal in conjunction with Michele Malkin - he even does her blog when she takes time off!

If HE'S a Marsupial....

Thanks Peter, Brian has been added to the memorial. I guess given what has happened to both he and Eric as well as some of the others, we are lucky to still be adorable little rodents. (though I do still have my slythern icon saved just incase)

An I a reptile because of my links or because of my attitude.

If it were based on your attitude me - you'd be a higher being.

"Black Sunday Massacre"? Going a little overboard, Lisa? Everyone, take a deep breath and continue to type. All we be well. If not, just remember that life sucks and is mostly unfair.

This coming from a guy who doesn't have anything emtionally invested here. I could call myself the commentor of reason, but that would be too much. Even from me.

I'll just sit here in the corner laughing my butt off at all the virtual anarchary and think of new ways to cook virtual hamsters.

Unknown said...

Wait until I start the virtual anarchy plots....hehehe

C, You know I can't resist something like this to take and run with and take it to the extreme. So yes it is the DAY of INFAMY! Or something slightly close to that.

I don't know if I would be a higher being or not, but thanks for the compliment. I need to find a way to rank blogs like the Ecosystem, but with that Me4 flair

I'd join me4

(as long as the hamsters are welcome)

I guess i shouldn't feel so bad, only dropping 320 spots in the Large Mammal ratings -- from the 380's to the 700's.

Unknown said...

I didn't mean to point you out on my comment on Eric's blog, I don't want you to drop. (Enough of us have done that) I just don't understand how Eric could have more links yet was dropped to a Marsupial.

But that's true at least you didn't drop two whole ecosystem categories - lol

:-)

I think it's because I blegged for links like the shameless ecosystem whore that I am! It's Bear's revenge on me!

Or, maybe his algorithms are just goofed up right now.

Or .......... it really is the Black Sunday Massacre! The old timers made out well, though.
