A lesson in stairs...

One is supposed to walk down a set of stairs, especially steep wooden stairs carefully. Typically a smart person holds on to the hand rail. The not so smart person tries to carry more than one garbage bag downstairs at a time. The not so smart person who worries more about a bag of kitty litter ripping open than watching where her feet go ends up with an injured back. After two days and it not getting better went into the doctor today. X-Rays were ordered, doctor thinks I did some damage. I think she might be right since the muscle relaxers and pain pills are only taking the edge off of it. (You would think the muscle relaxers would work at $2.47 a pill) So, if you see someone walking slowly, very slowly who smells like bengay? (Don't believe the vanishing scent bs, it is not true)

Might be me.

I am happy to hear that you are ok Lisa. So I say this next statement with the as much love and respcet that I can give another human.

WATCH WHERE YOU GOING, DUMBASS!
(Insert laugh track here)

You are a very nice person, but you deserve that. In fact, if I was there, I most likely would have laughed to the point of pissing my pants and then asked if you were ok. I have done that type of behavior to friends that I would die for, since it was so damn funny to see. So you are in good company. :)

Sorry I haven't been on here lately. Lots of night classes and planning a family outing this weekend. I'll email the details early next week.

Hope you feel better and that your pride is more injured than your body. Let this be the example of you are never to old to do stupid things and may, or may not, learn from them. Enjoy your weekend.

OUCH!

Hope you are feeling better soon.

The smart person does not drink. The smart person does not drink at work.

The fairly smart person drinks only a little after the work is done.

The stupid person drinks a bit too much, walks across a freshly mopped floor, slips, and worries more about the glass of vodka he is carrying than about breaking his fall, and winds up with 15-20 cuts on his hands.

(that, by the way, was the account of my last drink, which happened in July 2002)

:-}

Sorry about your pain, but I know what you mean. I have a habit of missing stairs or trying to step over Lilly and falling down the stairs.

I usually end up with upper back pain from lingering injuries though. I also try to use my head to break my fall since it is the least likely part of my body to break

They gave me some muscle relaxers after my car accident a few years ago that I was convinced were going to kill me. I was taking like one breath every 5 minutes

lmao C - I know you've been busy so I haven't harrassed you. ((HUGS))

Mike, thanks for making me feel better though it might have been easier to explain had I been drinking.

me4 - technically I can blame this on the cats since it was their litter that caused it. I'm a bit resistant when it comes to pain medication and muscle relaxers, so this one isn't doing much and it's a large dose. Yes, next I will need the elephant muscle relaxers - hehehe -

I thought with the heating pad, motrin and bengay I'd get over it but after two days decided I couldn't take it anymore and needed something stronger.

It has of course given the kids something to harrass me about. From "if your butt was bigger you could have bounced" to "MOM, watch the steps" everytime we go anywhere now. Yes, I can feel the love....

Sorry to hear of your pain Lisa.

On my many similar injuries, a Chiropractor helped the most (and the quickest).

In my experience…

The idea of somebody snapping my body like I've seen them do when Miguel went to the chiroprator scares me. Silly afer all of the surgeries and stuff...I'll find out more after the doctor looks at my x-rays as to what I did.

My aunt fell on her porch once and broke her tailbone. She sat there for 5 hours until someone came home and helped her. They always told her that it never would have happened if she didn't waste her time staying fit.
