AMERICUS, Ga. (Sept. 3, 2005) – Habitat for Humanity International is launching “Operation Home Delivery,” a three-phase response to help provide assistance and rebuilding opportunities in New Orleans and elsewhere along the Gulf Coast in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.
President Jimmy Carter, who has volunteered for more than 20 years with Habitat for Humanity all over the world, said, “In all my years as a volunteer for Habitat for Humanity, I cannot think of a more important program than Habitat’s Operation Home Delivery.
The first “Habitat homes in a box” are being assembled in New York City, Los Angeles, and Jackson, Miss. The first of those homes will be placed on its foundation and finished the week of Oct. 3—just five weeks after Hurricane Katrina struck.
I agree with Jimmy... If you want to find a way to contribute? A good cause to consider.

I still want Jimmy to run again. Will they attack his help for the poor or trying to bring peace to the world the most if he ran?
Probably.
You know what they say, "No good deed goes unpunushed"
Say what you about the President or his Presidency, President Carter will always be remembered for his involvement in Habitat for Humanity.

I love Jimmy. I read all of his books and wonder why G Dub Sr and G Spot Clinton don't do more hands on work.
Jimmy Carter is the only president I ever voted for that was one of the two parties. It was my first presidential election (the time he didn't win) He's my favorite former president too.
