Boehner beats out Blunt

Given Blunt's ties to DeLay and K Street, this could be good news for Ohio Republicans as well as the Republican Party.

He upset Rep. Roy Blunt of Missouri in a 122-109 vote on the second ballot. Rep. John Shadegg of Arizona dropped out of the running after the first ballot.

For those who put faith in polls....

A recent CNN poll found that 40 percent of those interviewed believed that Democrats would do a better job of dealing with corruption, while 32 percent thought Republicans would do better.

Nineteen percent believe there is no difference between the parties as far as corruption issues.

The results were based on interviews conducted January 20-22 with 506 Americans and had a plus or minus margin of error of 4 percent.

he he he

We were going to run a parody on this, but too many people caught the built-in joke.

The best headline Bob saw was one from a San Jose paper: "GOP Chooses Boehner Over Blunt."

And you KNOW they did it on purpose with a smart-assed grin on their faces!

Check out this weird thread at Toledo Talk:

What an odd response. What do you make of it? Was Bob taking it too personally?

Are you a bit hung over and therefore a tad testy this morning Bob?

Some people just don't appreciate your humor and that's okay. Yet, to me it would have been funnier to title it "Area Whackjob"

I have a feeling though that calling him that is going to create some flaming but? You can handle it.
