One of the most popular New Year's Resolutions is to get fit..

It's been consistently one of the most heard New Year's Resolutions, either "I want to be in better shape" or "I want to lose weight" - with traditionally this being the time where fitness equipment is bought, gyms joined and as each month passes? It's used less and less...

Unless you really have a plan and you are doing it because you really want to as opposed to feeling as if you should...I personally like Karl Ruegg's suggestion. Ask yourself "why?" five times before you make any resolution to see if the underlying reason behind it is something else, because that's the way to find a resolution that will work.

My fitness plan? Live within 1.5 miles of my preferred grocer; walk to the grocery store every other day, and treat the bags like weights, doing 15 to 20 curls for each arm (depending on the bag's weight that day).

No sh*t...lost 25 lbs in the first year, then 5 more in the second doing just this.

I like the way Kvatch puts a program together. This could be my way to happiness; one bag with Ding Dongs and the other hand holds half a gallon of milk. By the time I get home I can toss the empties into the recycle bin and relax on the sofa.

Seriously, I plan to get out an walk; running is out of the question.

T.F... Now that I'm living in Ecuador, a 5 liter bottle of water has replaced one bag of groceries and makes an excellent curling weight. :-)
