Happy Thanksgiving!

A Happy Thanksgiving to those of you out there in blog land. Ours was a bit lower key than normal with the work schedules of some of my bunch and the fact that my oldest daughter was not able to come home for Thanksgiving. While many are focusing on stuffing their turkeys, she's been getting ready to stuff shipping boxes since she's moving from the San Jose area to the Phoenix area because of her job.

I didn't even make turkey this year since there were fewer of us, I made stuffed Cornish game hens, though I had to convince one of my daughters that they were not baby turkeys...They turned out great though, and the upside? A much shorter baking time than what I normally spend on Thanksgiving...

Happey Thanksgiving. What did the Constitution say about Church and State?

Hey Lisa,

Glad to hear that you had a nice Thanksgiving. We got Boston Market's dinner deal and it only took 2 hours to reheat everything. In the meanwhile, we put up all the inlaws' Christmas stuff and then ate and then made a plate for my mom to take to her (she got the flu and was home). Of course the brother in law didn't do anything, but sleep, eat food, be rude and leave without saying thanks. The kids were great and didn't complain one bit. They helped and were good. For that I was thankful.

So, we served to an old folks home, a rehab client, and did a meals on wheels run and still got home at 6:45 PM.

Enjoy the rest of the holiday weekend.

I hope it was a good dinner deal to go through that :-)

Originally I was tempted to just buy the already cooked Turkey since I had to work on Wednesday to get the paper out a day early. The game hens were an easier choice since they take less than two hours to cook.

I'm glad the kids didn't complain, that is something to be thankful for. I have discovered though that I could have made my life easier by just making them dessert and stuffing.
