No Summers...Not now...Not ever...

Here we go again, just when women began to think that Obama was actually listening to them and cared? Larry Summers: Director Of National Economic Council, Top Adviser To Obama.

It might be too late, but it appears it's time for New Agenda to ramp up again. It seems that small moment of victory really wasn't one, it was a small bypass on the misogyny highway...

But supposedly Hillary said yes to Secretary of State, that's supposed to make it magically better. I suppose it does for those who wanted her political career to end and seems to me anyway, only a small victory that it proves the slam directed at the tea drinking ladies will be proven for what many of us knew it was, bs.

While they are drooling over Summers on HuffPo, at least some common sense still exists at Firedoglake.

I'm pretty unhappy with the Summers pick but am optimistic about numerous other choices that I hadn't anticipated.

But the BEST thing about this post, Lisa Renee? The one about the tea drinking ladies. THAT is a fantastic rundown of why that charge about having no experience was such bunk. Argh. Thanks for the find. Do you follow that site regularly?

Yes, it's a great blog to read. It is one of the ones I try to follow on a regular basis. As a history buff, it's a good one.

I'm disappointed that my fears concerning what would happen did, this is not an administration made up designed for "new politics" and picking Summers after the earlier outcry would demonstrate a lack of sensitivity that was also previously stated as a concern. It proves those of us who suggested this were not quite as wrong as some continued to try to state.
