Selective outrage Uppity Versus Shrill

Apparently quite a few Democratic bloggers seemed to feel it was okay for Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid to call Sarah Palin "shrill and sarcastic" with the exception of course of some of those who supported Clinton. However, Georgia Republican Rep. Lynn Westmoreland calling Obama "uppity" as reported by The Hill creates a call for a blog swarm.

Which is worse? The majority leader of the Senate using a sexist word or a Georgian House member using a racially tinged word?

How about both are equally wrong and as long as we continue to ignore the behavior of our own, we really don't have much to complain about...What ever happened to leading by example?

It's worth pointing out that Westmoreland endorsed Romney and Reid endorsed Obama.
