Audio/video editing and blogging

On my local political blog I've been trying to add more video and audio content, which can create a scenario where having the ability to edit both video and audio can be a challenge. I haven't had much to do with trying to use a video converter but there have been many times when I have needed to use an audio converter especially when I am converting audio I've recorded from my digital camera to a smaller more compressed size to be able to upload to my domain.

While this computer comes with Windows Movie Maker, it does not really offer many options when it comes to actually editing video. Which is why I decided to download the trial version of the Blaze Media Pro to see if it offers more features than the audio software I purchased a year ago.

It's going to take a bit of time to play around with the software, but it does seem to offer much more editing ability than I currently have which will give me the ability to do more with video and audio than I can now. I don't foresee me using the dvd ripper abilities that Blaze Media Pro offers, but for some that would be an additional reason to consider it.

One thing I do like that I immediately noticed was the ability to take still shots from videos, that is something that I don't currently have the ability to do and that is something that there have been several occasions where I am the only one covering an event that it would be nice to be able to do.

Totally self taught Roland, once upon a time trying to program a VCR was a challenge.
