Despite the calls, despite the concern, despite the hundreds of posts written about why FISA should not pass, Democrats joined Republicans and passed it.
Only 28 Senators voted no the rest voted yes, or like McCain did not show up at all. Which is going to be a problem for the Senator if he continues to miss votes while campaigning...
It's very little consolation that Clinton kept her word and Obama didn't since the end result was that the bill passed. It's clear that a majority of congress is representing someone elses interest, and it's not ours, it could be said some had over 100 million reasons for voting yes...
