Even the Obama campaign admits the real issue...

One of the things I've focused on over and over again is the question of electability in November when it really matters. In this Washington Post article, Downside of Obama Strategy even his campaign admits what many of us have been focusing on:
Even some Obama advisers see a real problem. "Ultimately, all that matters is how the nominee stacks up against John McCain," said one adviser who spoke on the condition of anonymity, referring to the senator from Arizona and presumptive GOP nominee. "Right now, Barack is not connecting with the children of the Reagan Democrats. That's a real concern."

No one listened when many of us tried to point out that John Kerry was going to have a difficult time beating George Bush, and it feels like history is repeating itself again with the same mentality being pushed by emotion rather than from looking at this from a realistic point of view as far as who the base is. When you forget your base, you don't win the race...

That's what I have been trying to tell folks all along, but it just seems as though no one listens. Then, later on, they act all surprised.
