Why so many people can't see what a sham he is, is beyond me, yet...evidently people don't have enough common sense to realize that he has no substance, can't make a stand and has ethical questions surrounding him that he never answers. Or they are so afraid of Hillary and forgetting about Edwards that they believe Obama is their own hope, because according to the Washington Post, Obama Raises $31M, Surges Past Clinton. The only good thing is that eventually the media will start focusing on his lack of substance, since they love to attack the front runner but in the end attacking him probably makes it easier for the Hillary campaign.
Frankly it is really disturbing to me that once again we could be faced with a Democratic candidate that I can't even hold my nose and vote for...And I was silly enough to think John Kerry was not appealing to me, Obama is less than Kerry.
However, I keep repeating, it's early yet and remember what the media did to Dean...never assume the front runner now is "the" person who gets it....

Obama may have less substance, but he's still not as despicable as Hillary. But, again, not my favorite. Edwards had a reasonably good schpeal last time, but it wasn't enough to out-last Kerry. Thompson -- still don't know enough about him, except that he's different. Whether his difference is good/bad/indifferent...

My hopes really aren't that high for this election.
My hopes were high but if that many people are going to be so blind to believe that Obama is ready and deserves to be President?
Obviously I need to reduce that factor. It reminds me of a poll here in Toledo when 16% of the voters surveyed were so uniformed they thought that the one man running was a man who had been dead for several years...They didn't even have the same first name, but the same last name...
Sigh...
As a ps...my dealings with Hillary through her staff have been great. Not only professional but she and they do what they have promised me.
One year later, I still have never gotten an answer from my questions concerning finance and ethics from Obama's staff. Not even a form letter type email thanking me for my questions but blowing me off.
Why is this important? Because it does matter how a leader leads, and if you care so little about people out there that you don't hire people who can be bothered to answer the hard questions? You aren't going to do much better at handling the Whitehouse when you can't handle a Senate office...
You might want to re-think Thompson if this is true:

Likely presidential candidate Fred Thompson (R) released this statement: "I am very happy for Scooter Libby. I know that this is a great relief to him, his wife and children. While for a long time I have urged a pardon for Scooter, I respect the President's decision. This will allow a good American, who has done a lot for his country, to resume his life."
Hillary's performance as First Lady precludes her from any consideration for president in my mind. She was engaged in too many almost-scandals (depending on how define scandal) that had to do with raising campaign money and other things for me to have any respect for her. She can create a reasonable image, but her ethics are not up to the standards I'd hold a waitress, let alone a president.
However, when it comes to ethics, I don't think we're going to find anyone who's actually presidential caliber that will actually stand a chance. That's the saddest part of all.
As for Thompson, I'm interested, but I'm most likely going to vote third-party. My respect for both main parties is slim to none. And, my respect for Thompson definitely went down a notch -- someone who can't recognize that someone representing the US government should be held to higher standards and should face harsher punishment for breaking the law does not deserve the confidence of the American people. But, that's just my opinion.

Harsh words for the Obaminator! He just may win the democratic ticket, but I am holding out for a stellar independent ticket that can appeal to most americans. If the right duo were to combine their partisan forces, I will definitely vote for them.
Jeremy and I have had the same lack of response from the Obama campaign. FYI
I am still an Edwards fan and wish he got more coverage. Maybe if Coulter keeps talking, he will soon be the person to beat. That gives me an idea. I must scheme now.

As for me:
My hope is that the REAL top two candidates have yet to come forward.
And I pray that this is true.
