Medical supply companies taking advantage of the net...

In what is probably my theme for today comes another type of company that is making it's products more known thanks to the internet, medical supply companies. Before the rise of the internet how many people really even knew what a pulse oximeter was or that you could buy one for yourself? I admit it I've had them used on me in medical situations but I had no idea what the real name was.
