Women take the lead in supporting Hillary...

An article that is noteworthy on the topic of where is the largest support base for presidential candidate Hillary Clinton can be found in today's Washington Post, entitled, Clinton Owes Lead in Poll To Support From Women, while of course many of us don't place a lot of stock in polls, some of the information provided was of interest:

Clinton is drawing especially strong support from lower-income, lesser-educated women -- voters her campaign strategists describe as "women with needs." Obama, by contrast, is faring better among highly educated women, who his campaign says are interested in elevating the political discourse.

Personally I have a hard time understanding how women who are highly educated would support Obama, typically you would think they would question the lack of substance. That was for me a rather disappointing factor being stated. Then again, perhaps many of them have not put a great deal of research into him at this point either.

One thing is for certain we can expect many more polls in the months to come and it will be interesting to track some of this information between now and then.

If I had to vote Democrat -- in an alternate universe where the definition of democracy was re-written even more than it already has been -- I would much prefer Obama to Clinton, any Clinton.

I feel the opposite, after my Obama experience last year and the more research I do on him, the less I like him so I'd vote for Hillary before him, I can think of very few others I would not vote for before him.

I'll clarify that I have absolutely no interest in voting for Obama. Pretty much, my opinion is that anyone who's getting attention this early in the game is too much a part of the political in-crowd to be likeable.

That being said, for Hillary it's a matter of being too aware of how many scandals she was personally involved in during her husband's terms in office.
