Why I wish I could understand arabic...

While I'm sure someone would call them on it if it was being reported incorrectly when I hear about stories like this one where a Hamas TV station is saying that kindegarten children in Palestine are being taught What is your most lofty aspiration? Death for the sake of Allah. It still makes me wonder. First of all why they would be that stupid because it's pretty common knowledge that this would be used by the media here to demonstrate that they were using children is the first thought that comes to mind. Then, if they know this why they are doing it unless they believe showing this will demonstrate how dedicated they are not seeming to realize all it does is disgust people to see children used for any cause, especially one where they are being taught that dying is some type of a lofty goal.

I am trying to get Rosetta Stone to teach me Arabic, but it is not as easy as they make it sound. Arabic is hard. I am not going to give up though.

I am not sure I will ever be able to read it though even if I do learn to speak it

Good, you keep with it, at least if you could understood what is spoken we'd have a chance of knowing if it was being translated correctly.

I've tried too and it is hard for me, one of my daughters is also learning but so far all she's learned from working with a few people who speak Arabic is some swear words....

I will keep trying, but it gets frustrating.

I also may be able to find an extra installation of the software if you ever need it.

I just started using them and Arabic and Mandarin are the only two I have tried. I like them, but must not be a good learner
