Outdoor fireplaces growing in popularity...

When we were at my best friend's house for a cookout on Memorial Day, Miguel became a fan of their fire pit design that they had in their backyard. Since we can't have something like that where we are, this has made him look into an outdoor fireplace as an option. I'm checking into what type of regulations exist but I'm assuming given the large numbers of them I have seen for sale in this area that they are either allowed or there are quite a few people using them anyway....
