"Everybody has personal issues," Obama said in an interview on NBC's the Today Show. "And I think, ultimately, what people want to know is what are you going to do on behalf of the American people -- and that's how it should be."
I totally agree with him, of course I'm cynical enough to realize that it's because he doesn't want his own personal issues discussed but the reality is, it really has very little bearing on the important aspects of who should be President.
Except for personal issues that could demonstrate a lack of character, like if the person has a history of drug abuse, or some other personal issue that is a current concern that could affect the way they would lead the country.

Bingo!
However, too many otherwise decent political prospects have been derailed by the minor issues that can best be described as youthful indiscretions, foul-ups and foolishness.
The MSM is more interested in blood than in good leadership, because good leadership threatens the MSM’s influence and power.
The flaw in this is that we don’t get to elect the MSM. . .
