One pill makes you small....

I can't help thinking of the song "White Rabbit" by Jefferson Airplane, One pill makes you larger and one pill makes you small, when thinking about the whole concept of diet pills. The diet industry is a multi million dollar venture and many celebrities have adopted a favorite or even marketed one of their own diet pills or diet plan. One of the most recent ones talked about with a great deal of frequency is Hoodia. Appetite suppressants do work for some people yet the majority of diet pills and patches don't fall under the regulation of the FDA which means it's up to the consumer to do some research and some self-education to see what will work best for them. If you are curious like I was as to where the name "hoodia" came from, it is the name of the actual plant which is found in South Africa, it's similar to a cactus and has become such a large money maker that it has been made a protected plant that can only be wild-harvested by those who have been given a license.
