My mini-vacation...

Friday I was busy finishing up things to go to an event in Columbus called "Roots Camp" where I learned quite a bit about elections and how to do a better job with blogging and trying to help in 2008. It was in Columbus about 2 and a half hours from here so Miguel and I decided to stay over night. We had one missed turn on the way, one I do often, I always miss 15 in Findlay which turns into 23 which is the Route to Columbus. This time however, I didn't realize I missed it until we were all the way to Lima, which meant either turning back 26 miles or finding a different route. So we took the scenic route from Lima to Columbus. We were late, so I missed the introductions but not any of the sessions.

Miguel survived being surrounded by that many Democrats, we then enjoyed dinner and our hotel room which had cable tv something we haven't watched in quite some time and some much needed couple time minus kids was enjoyed. We drove back today in semi-white out conditions but still had a great time and stopped by one of my favorite candy places, Coons Candy, which I blog about just because I love their candy, however if they happen to see this post and want to offer me free candy? I am sooo going to take that offer - lol. My house was not totally destroyed upon my return, which was great and I feel much better today, I needed a mini-vacation...

We went to Nashville for a mini-vacation over the weekend. Sherry's dad was receiving an award for service since he finally totally retired and the whole family went down as a surprise. I saw them shoot a Martina McBride video while I was there

That is awesome news for Sherry's dad and I bet he enjoyed the surprise.

I'm surprised you didn't try to get into the video, could have been good pr material...

GET A GPS, they are marriage savers, I'm now convinced of that. So what did you learn from the seminar?

Coons..., I've passed by many times and never stopped, next time I will though; thanks for the tip ;-)

Have you ever stopped at Wilson's for their meats? (N. on 23 near the bend, just past the experimental triple road sections) I can't pass by without stopping ;-)
