Only 730 miles away from the Outer Banks of NC

After visiting this website on NC Beaches, I checked via map quest how far it was from my door to the door of one of the resorts I found on the site, Barrier Island Station Resorts. Having the ability to click on the satellite image on the map was a very useful feature, especially in seeing that the The Saltaire Cottages & Efficiencies are right on the coastline. Or if you wondered how close to the water Advice 5 Cents-Bed and Breakfast was which is in Duck.

What further makes this website appealing is the detailed information it gives on each area of North Carolina beaches, as one example The Outer Banks. Yes, I admit I've always thought the Outer Banks would be an awesome place to visit. Yet after reading about some of the other areas, such as Crystal Coast, I could see where when planning a visit you would want to visit more than one of these beautiful areas.

The site is new so there are not many reviews yet but given the wealth of information on the site now, (over 15,000 pages) it's obvious as it grows and more people join sharing their reivews, that the site will be even more of a resource for those considering a vacation in North Carolina. If you have visited the area before or live in that area they are looking for people to offer reviews and write articles for the website. I'm definitely going back to visit, as well as know knowing that it's only 730 miles away which according to Mapquest would take about 12 hours to get there....

:-)
