Chicken Noodle Soup...

I've probably bored you to death with my stories of what I can finally eat now, but chicken noodle soup is now something I've added to my liquid diet that I'm still dealing with since I can't handle "real" food yet.

I have become a maven of chicken noodle soup. While Campbell's is inexpensive (especially the "pink" cans that were on sale at Krogers for 60 cents) I can only eat so many cans of their soup. Progresso is my next favorite, it's a little more than Campbell's but it has a closer taste to homemade. Yes, I could make my own but I don't feel well enough to do that hence my can adventures.

However...probably because I whined enough about it, Erin brought me home two containers of chicken noodle soup from our local Grape Leaf Diner. The idea of eating either Progresso or Campbell's is now even less appealing...

I'm a big fan of Progresso (because I could not cook soup, no matter how my health was, at least not soup that tasted something other than burnt or wrong), but I don't like their chicken noodle. I prefer their Minestrone, but that might be a little spicy for you right now.

I love their minestrone too and their wedding soup.

They also have an excellent garden vegetable.

You are right I can't handle those yet but they are favorites of mine. The Tomato Garden one is good too.

The trick to making good soup at home is the broth and it can take a lot of time, but then I go wacko and make my own homemade drop noodles too so that takes even longer.

Remember, I burned water -- still don't know how, but I did.

hehehe - you can't burn water - you can of course burn the pan if the water evaporates. That's happened here before with one of my daughter's.

I love just about all kinds of home-made soups, but will eat the commercially-made type when necessary.
Home-made chicken soup is the best! And, I have it down to perfection as does my wife, Judy.
And on top of that, my Grandmother was right, chicken soup is the cure for colds.

Lisa, you haven't bored us to death. Bored us, yes, but not to death...yet. And I do agree that you have whined enough. Now get better and stronger so that you can get back on your power quest to get PB&J Ice Cream back on the Ben and Jerry's production list.

Hey, you know I love ya, Right? Just get better.

I love you too C., just be thankful you aren't Miguel.

He has to live with worse whining than you guys do.

My belated sympathies to Miguel :-)

Lisa, don't geet too well too soon, I'm pedalling as fast as I can just to catch up now ;-)

BTW, we just made chicken soup the other day:

First you take four chichens...

2 meals down and 4 to go, frozen of course ;)
