Well Miguel is now "officially" a Toledoan...

His new hat says it all:

Aubrey and I discovered this really neat candy shop just down the street from here, called Boyd's Candy Shop. They have all kinds of penny candy (though of course it's not a penny anymore). We made our second stop by tonight and she got ice cream and Miguel was happy to see they had MaryJanes. Squirrel Nut Zippers for me...

What kind of freaky candy store has Mary Jane?

I thought to be an official resident, you had to have a Mudhens jersey like Klinger

This kind of MaryJane - lol

I have the Mudhen's jersey but remember he's originally from New London, CT so these things take time. You can take the boy out of the ghetto but taking the ghetto out of the Puerto Rican can be a challenge. Heck, I was just happy to see a new hat and him wearing it the right way.

He will not officially be a Toledoan until he eats a Styrofoam container of chilimac for breakfast that he left on the front seat of his car after he passed out on his front porch, too bombed to get the damned key to fit in the front door (unless she changed the locks again), pieces of gravel stuck to his cheek as the sun mercilessly beats down on him on a Tuesday morning...no, afternoon, it only felt like morning.

OK, that would make him a particular kind of Toledoan, not just any Toledoan, but the chilimac part stays, dammit.

I had a couple of those nights in college and the Army. Could I be a Toledoan even though I have never been there?
