Now that's funny. This guy has balls to do this and I hope he wins out. I'm lucky that my wife and I are on the same page most of the time when it comes to parenting. First rule, show a untied front. Once the kids see that they can manulate and put a crack in that wall, game over. Second rule, if the kids play the "mommy, or daddy, said it was ok" and it isn't confirmed by the other parent, automatic grounding or other punishment. Third rule, remember who are the parents and who are the children. Fourth rule, NEVER EVER CAVE IN!!!!!! Rule with an iron fist, but have a bit of mercy alone with it.

Am I the best parent? Oh hell no! But everyone that interacts with my kids have nothing but praises for us and tell us that they are the most behaved children in the world and are a joy to be with. Of course they are; they give us, theri parents, holy hell and shit at home. Other people are angels compared to their parents.

Hope this guy's wife gets the hint.

I don't think she is impressed at this point. They showed her on tv and she said he needs to just "get over it".

She also wasn't happy that he put this on the net or the media picked it up.

How bizarre! It sounds to me like they both need some marriage classes/couseling.

I certainly understand his pov, cyberseaer, but the other side of it is if he's not helping out than there's really no way for the mom to keep up. If he's actually ADDING to her work-load, then all bets are off.

I know women used to be able to handle it all by themselves, and some still do, but most (including myself) really just don't know how.

I saw the guy on FOX News this morning (yep, you read right - HM watches FOX from 7-8 AM).

I think it's just a scheme to get traffic for his website. His wife looked like she waas about to laugh during the clip that I saw.

(Lisa wonders how long it will be before Mike goes on strike to see if that adds massive hits to his website.)

lol :-)

She didn't look happy on 11, perhaps the thrill had worn off since this morning. I read some of the comments, but was not going to go thru all 800+ as expected some told him he was being a jerk and should help her more, or "to man up". Others sided with him.

I think it's important to maintain a relationship with your spouse even when you have young children, but I also know from personal experience it takes two people to make that happen.

Damn. I need a gimmick to generate hits. I could be huge for a day or so.

Perhaps Lilly could go on strike for better living conditions with Franki in the house.

Or you could post something about religion...

It worked for me.

Unknown said...

Or Abortion or Nazis or a few popular bloggers that posting about them brings in the hits.

Or design a t-shirt as a joke.

I post about religion all the time, but people don't come to me. Mostly about the hypocrisy of it. I have even posted that James Dobson was a putz and challenged that Kansas guy who hates gays to justify protesting military funerals. The only time I got hits was my moving post when I became a conservative and the reasons why

I always want to write that Kos is a jackass, but one of his corporate sponsors would probably have me whacked

Perhaps the rainbows scare people away. Or, more likely, it's the mask.

interesting developments on this front... people began posting comments on his site yesterday afternoon that he is a registered sex offender in the state of michigan... the man was deleting any comments that were more favorable to his wife than him... so i go to check out the link , and there he is , in broad daylight.. he has no right, or any legal or moral grounds to be near his wife and children.. by contiuning to be near his children, he is risking potential harm coming to them from him.. he had contact apparently wwith children... the link to check this is http://mipsor.state.mi.us/mipsor.. at the very least , he is setting a horrible example for the kids in that if you cant solve an argument or point of contention with your spouse, taking it on national media and publicly embarassing his wife, is a selfish and stupid thing to do.. has anyone here noticed, that he left out lots of details, like about what other resources he used or tried.. counseling is obviously not one of them .. if he is so freaking tired of the kids there, why cant he get up off of his lazy ass and move them to their beds himself??? if he is so tired of stumbling over dirty diapers, what is stopping him from bending over and picking them up himself.. and, he obviously doesnt have a clue as to how hard on a womans body, giving birth to two babies in two years. he seems to think that private and alone time means sex whenever he wants it... and now, since i found out about being a registered sex offender, if i were his wife, i would file papers on him so fast his head would spin

I was also watching his blog yesterday, and at first a few people posted comments that he was a registered sex offender, which were ignored. But as soon as people located his mailing address by using the domain name search for his website, it turned out he indeed was a registered sex offender. And once the hard evidence appeared in the posts, the website was shut down. He's pretty dumb to attract attention to himself. I'm just surprised the media hasnt said anything about this.

I'm glad it was pointed out to me, I hadn't gone back to check the comments.

It was really stupid of him to do that with a public record like that but it doesn't surprise me that the media hasn't brought it up. They probably don't want to admit they didn't do their homework.
