I don't normally cross post, but the originating article was written by La Prensa so I felt it was most appropriate to post at Glass City Jungle. However, if you like me are wondering more about why there were protests at Strickland's Cleveland office? As well as wondering if one statement on immigration can cause major discussion if it was Paul Hackett making the statement versus not alot of attention when Ted Strickland votes for a bill like H.R. 4437?
here is the link to the post at Glass City Jungle.

I probably wouldn't vote for that bill. I don't to wall us off from the world. I am more in favor of a privacy fence of sorts. With gates in places where people are most likely to try and get in to not only monitor those entering, but also to limit deaths or injuries in the passage.
I think there are other ways to deal with illegal immigration than build a wall too.
What bugged me I guess the most was that this was supposedly such a huge reason to not support Hackett yet very few have said much about Strickland or the protests. Most are downplaying it, which given the response from La Prensa is not a smart move. Yet given today's poll results that show Strickland in the lead? I have a bad feeling this issue will not be addressed.
