Ecosystem gone wild...again...

I quit listing the numerous changes from "adorable rodent" to "maurading marsupial". Yesterday when I checked I had something like 203 links - 198 if I remember right were "counted". I was a Marsupial again...Tonight?

Current Rank: #975 Current Status: Large Mammal Link Count: 69 Link Score: 66

So a lot of links lost yet I went up? I did some checking...

Me4President has lost links too, yet now he is a "Flappy Bird".

Peter Porcupine is now a "Large Mammal" too, but of course the server is now busy so I can't check anymore.

Sooo a we are experiencing another "evolution" probably to be followed by a rapid "de-evelotion". Hold on to your hamsters....

There is obviously a glitch. Besides, the quality of some blogs cannot be determined by such trivial things as hits and links. It is what is inside that counts. I want to be in a group called hungry mountain lions

Somehow I jumped into "Large Mammal" status again as well, and took my first day in the top 1000 (which is nice). It will probably change tomorrow, but I'll enjoy it for now.

I have had almost 300 unique visitors today, and I am still a Multi-Cellular Organism. Go figure.

Of course, probably 150 are neo-Nazi loons; maybe they are discounted...

It's the links that count more than visitors Mike, so unless the nazi's start linking your blog and they are Ecosystem members?

They aren't helping you.

Yeppers Brad I agree which is why I just have my cute little hamster there with the "I am up and down and all around" in the Ecosystem.

I wish everyone who linked to me clicked on it once or twice a day. All of my hits come from like 8 people

But in Chicago (and Florida) those 8 people might represent, like, 20,000 votes.

History Mike, Yea, but do dead people read blogs?

I never thought people took the Echosystem serious. Obviously, you don't. Well, you cannot be a conservative blogger until you obsess over how many links you get and how many the other guy gets and the legitimacy of them.

I don't get enough dead people visiting to be like Chicago

Don, I take all my links seriously ;-) And I obsess that I haven't been linked by you lately! lol Have a great New Year. Lyn at Bloggin' Outloud

Don, I'll never be a conservative...I'm sorry...

I hope you can forgive me...lol

If I was going to take a ranking seriously it would be Technorati, since it measures more accurately how many "real" links you have but even that isn't a quality comparison. I do like Technorati though because I find out when other people have written about posts I've written. That is to me the cool part.

When you consider right now the "ecosystem" says I have 100 links yet Technorati shows 398 links from 178 sites it's pretty telling. Sure it's an ego boost to have seen how I've gone up but I don't worry about it.

I've dealt with the cold hard reality that I will never be number one...It was hard...almost shattered me...but somehow? I went on...
