An Update to the story I posted about earlier:
MIAMI — A vegan couple who kept their five children on a strict raw-foods diet was cleared of aggravated manslaughter Monday for the death of their 6-month-old baby, but convicted of four counts of child neglect.
A Miami jury rendered their verdict after less than 90 minutes of deliberation in the trial of Joseph and Lamoy Andressohn, who were accused of feeding their children an inadequate diet of raw fruits and vegetables in spite of signs that they appeared malnourished and underweight.
The Andressohns' sentencing date is December 15th, they could be given anywhere from 20 years in prison to probation.

Bet they get probation.
Something else must have been seriously wrong with that poor baby. They should get probation and the other kids should have a balanced healthy diet supervised by a nutritionist and regular check ups
The baby was born without a thymus which is why she died. It was in the autopsy report but the prosecutor tried to make it seem it was the parents alone. I agree with you that the parents should have done a better job with nutrition, there seems to be a few raw foods experts out there who have tried to help them so hopefully once this is over they can try to become a family again.
Yes, she was born without a thymus, a fatal birth defect. Children with this defect die within a few weeks. She lasted 5 to 6 months longer than normal.
It is shameful they are being blamed for the death of the child when they actually prolonged her life.
The media and mainstream medical community love to leave out pertinent facts to suit their agendas.
I'm not into that food lifestyle, so I have no reason to be supporting them.
I'm not either, I was a vegetarian when I was a teenager and one of my daughters is now but I've never been into the raw foods concept the way they are.
From what I understand it can be done correctly and has been for hundreds of years. I agree with you that the media doesn't do a great job in these types of stories. Which is why I read the autopsy report. I had read about the no thymus on several of the raw food sites and wanted to verify it was true.
