I've been asked to participate in a radio discussion on Prussian Blue and the blogosphere as a part of BBC World Service. The show is taped so if all goes well? Will let you all know later when it will be on and try to download a copy. That way you can give me cheers and jeers on my contribution.
What I find most ironic about this story is that the death of Rosa Parks is what has pushed posts and searches for information on Prussian Blue down in rankings. While some bloggers are connecting the two as opposite ends of the spectrum, most are now writing about the contribution Rosa Parks made to our country.
In way, it seems fitting that writing about a woman who helped end racial discrimination would be the one that pushes a story about children promoting racial division down in popularity.
Perhaps Rosa is looking down and smiling at that one.

It amazing that she led a somewhat private life. She started a civil revolution in this country yet, except for her one act of defiance, stayed out of the public eye. She did this so much so that when I heard the news, my first reaction was amazed that she was alive for all these years. I thought since she wasn't out there promoting a book or reminding people she was still with us that she must have died a long time ago. Is my face red.
It is refreshing to now that some poeple are still treated with respect in the news. A quiet lady whose one decision changed the way future generations looked at each other for the better. It is a noble legacy that most of us will never achieve. May she rest in peace and enjoy her heavenly reward.
Oh, by the way, good luck on the BBC show. I hope that you get noticed even more and that you can extend your fifteen minutes and aquire even more power. That way I am closer to get my Ben and Jerry's PB&J ice cream back.
And you thought I forgot about that. ;)
I just got finished, It was fun despite my initial nervousness.
Waiting to find out when it will be on and getting a link so I can critique myself...
:-)
I guess I did a good job because the host said they would love to have me on again in the future...
I think a lot of people didn't know she was still around. That is because she knew the right way to be a hero. Heroes don't go around talking about it
And like most real heros she didn't believe she was a hero, she felt she was just one small part of the story.
:-)
You never do get used to that being your voice...Even when I go back and listen to old tapes from when I was in a band I still think I don't sound like that.
:-)
I had alot more fun with this radio program than when I was on tv years ago....nervous laughter...today? Thankfully none - lol
Congrats on a successful interview Lisa!
Evidently, you overcame the language barrier ;-)
Them Brits tend to have a heavy accent that makes them hard to understand for most of us Merkins.
Headline:
Rosa Parks' passing trumps Prussian Blue's racist message.
I LOVE it!
Truly poetic...
Even more ironic was right before it got to me they were talking about Rosa Parks, so I led into the discussion with that fact from technorati.
Both the BBC staff I talked with were pretty awesome though I did know right away when I answered the phone who it was.
:-)
Funny how Msnbc spread prussian blues website and a neo nazi site on their screen. They should have shown http://www.movementexposed.blogspot.com/

I didn't see MSNBC's coverage of Prussian Blue but it doesn't surprise me that they didn't list either site. Most of the MSM doesn't pay attention to the smaller blogs, I was shocked the BBC contacted me.
Yes, I saw all of those before as well as the two blogs that are anti-Prussian Blue.
I know the baby likes the wind thru her hair, etc. etc.
But thank you.

That's posted all over the net so it's nothing new.
All you anonymouses need to decide if you are going to contribute or basically be spammers. Typically spammers are deleted.
I'd prefer to be able to allow anonymous postings, but if this continues as a pattern? I'll have to re-evaluate.
Congratulations, Lisa - you have hit the big time.
The BBC rocks - one of the better mainstream sources for general information, and they manage to get global stories better than any US media outlet.
I don't think I've hit the big time, it was only for maybe ten minutes between me, the host and the show's blogging expert. Since I haven't got the link yet and it was taped don't know if it even went on. I could have sucked so badly they scrapped it...
It was fun though..
:-)
