An interesting piece is linked above, I don't often enjoy de Boer's columns in the Toledo Blade but this one I did. Probably because it's a similar style I've used in the past.
Anyway today we will discover who ends up being the top two for the Toledo Mayoral race. Will the numerous predictions that Carty will be one of them prove true? Then who will be Number two? Jack? Keith? Rob? or will Opal come in (that then leads to the question of when will the promised destruction come if she isn't elected).
City Council hasn't gotten as much attention, nothing new, but there are some new names that deserve a chance for the six seats. If the last poll I read ends up being true Mitch Balonek and Dave Shulz will make it into the top 12. Karen Shanahan might just barely make it.

By the timne that I arrived at my polling station (8:15 AM), only 15 people had voted before me, and there were no other voters in sight.
I hope that this is not indicative of a particularly low turnout.
That was my biggest fear that there would be a very low turn out.
Sigh....I was really disappointed during the presidential primary at our counties numbers.
Mine was pretty much empty at 8am also, but that is typical. I've never had to wait in line for the 5 years I've been going there.
In the best political tradition of Chicago, I urge one and all to Vote early and vote often!
(And, none of those lame, "But, I'm dead" excuses either.)
