Granted most of the local news has been about what is going on in New Orleans. However, after hearing about the fire on Broadway street here in Toledo I started to wonder. The conspiracy theorist in me started thinking as soon as I heard that Claudia Vercellotti was one of the people who's home was burned.
For those of you not from Toledo, Claudia is one of the primary people in Survivors Network of those Abused by Priests (SNAP).
From the above linked Toledo Blade article:
The fire started in the rear of 2425 Broadway, which was rented by Claudia Vercellotti, a local coordinator of the Survivors Network of those Abused by Priests. She said research and documentation she has collected for nearly four years, including victim letters, were destroyed.
Evidently the investigation is already basically dead since there does not appear to be any evidence that it was foul play. However, most house fires are not so intense that the heat melts tail lights and equipment on not only cars but firetrucks.
So far no one has commented on this that I've seen, but it made me start thinking if there was a connection.

I heard that someone was upset about losing their research.
Sounds like a great rumor to start spreading Lisa lol.
My thoughts turned to God not being happy with Opal's Zogby poll results.
It just seemed strange aaron, though you are right I don't want to be starting rumors. Personally I would have backed up documentation like that, especially if it was important. So far I must be the only one that thought conspiracy...maybe too much tv thru the phone crisis - lol
Had it been related to Carty then I probably would have thought Opal immediately.

I bet it's just one of those things. Unmfornate, but shit happens. Or God is protecting his bunch. She should have scanned everything, backed it up on CDs and put them in a safe deposit box. But who in the hell listens to me?
I backed up my research for my book and it wasn't anything important compared to SNAP and their lawsuits.
However that's because I learned the hard way what happens when computers die on you.
I am glad no one was hurt or killed considering how bad the fire was. It's just one of those things that hit me as not being right.
Though if Opal is right we have alot more to fear if she's not elected Mayor.

Hey, wait just a minute.
Priests (historically) wore robes, robes with hoods.
The Catholic Church had much to gain, if they could find a way to silence Claudia..
Maybe you're on to something here, after all...
Now, I'm not saying that Catholic priests (wearing hooded robes) were doing the Catholic Church's bidding by trying to silence Claudia, but I also not saying that they didn't.
I hope that I've made myself perfectly clear on this ;-)
I was thinking more along the lines of a misguided supporter rather than a church sanctioned fire.
