Artichokes....

Might sound strange, but near to my new place there is a Penn Station East Coast Sub shop. First visit I had the rueben which was excellent, however decided to try something different:

Artichoke hearts, provolone, oregano, parmesan, mushrooms, mayo

Partly because I like artichokes, partly because Erin is a vegetarian and didn't have the guts to try that one she went for their traditional grilled vegetarian sub. (And loved mine as well as hers once she tried it)

It was awesome. They have great fries and homemade lemonade too....

(Linked above if you want to see if there is one near you)

Funny, they say they are East Coast Subs, but they are all in the South and Midwest. I bet they aren't maded like the hoagies made in NJ. Who in the hell would make a veggie hoagie? No one in Jersey I tell ya. No One!

Eat and enjoy. I go to Subway anyway.

They are really good. We haven't been there in a while, but the Cheesesteak with mustard and no onions is great. You know, for the non-vegetarian types.

The Chicken Teriyaki and Italian Sausage subs are excellent also.

lmao C, Subway used to be closer but when you live with a vegetarian you try to find things she'll eat too. I used to be one at one time back in my hippy youth days. They seem like the subs I had out east, same soft thinner style bread heated but not toasted to the point where they were hard.

Those are on my list to try Micah, if I don't get stuck on one as a favorite - lol

Lisa,

Sounds Good!

And, they make the Philly Cheeseteak without the green peppers, Woo Hoo!

Now, all I need is to find a coupon for them ;-)

The wife will get the chicken teriyaki, garunteed ;-)

Mine, of course will be the Cheesesteak w/mustard and onions.

Mmmmmmmmmm...
