An Andre moment...

He didn't pull off the win but a major hat's off to Andre Agassi who not only gave Federer a challenge of a match but to me? Ranks up there with Jimmy Connor as one of my all time favorites.

Not only is he an awesome tennis player but his acts and deeds off the court make Andre one of those few sports figures that I feel deserves the "role model" title.

A further sports note....I've discovered a key to having Miami win...not pick them for my football pool.

Why are we talking about tennis? It's football season. Nothing in sports matter now.

Congrats to your fish win. They looked like they remembered how to play. Not for Jets, though. The Chiefs did not beat the Jets outright. The Jets (laying most of the blame on Pennington) beat themselves with dumb penalities, rookie mistakes, and 6 fumbles at the snap. At least Law tried to make it close with his interception in the endzone. Me no happy. But there is always next week. It's going to be a long week.

Cuz I am a former tennis player - it's part of my past as a former jock

And someday I'd like to go to the US Open so I always watch it.

I didn't get to watch the Miami game they had the Cinci/Cleveland game on here I am happy they won but I will admit I didn't pick them given their pre-season performance.

A) Football is the most boring sport in the world. If you put a stopwatch on a football game and recorded only the time when an actual play is being run, rather than the time outs, stopped clock, huddles, etc., you would find that only 12.5 minutes of actual football is played during the three+ hours it takes to have a football game. That's not just me talking. People have actually timed the plays versus the time the game is going on. Yawn.

B) Agassi. What can you say? He is brilliant, but he just couldn't hand with Federer the whole time. I was pulling for him, though. He was and is great. Also, when did he change his name? I thought his name was Andre Agassi, but the announcers kept calling him "Thirty-five Year Old Andre Agassi". When did he change his first name to "Thirty-five Year Old"? (That's just my way of pointing out that the announcers, well, that Dick guy actually, because McEnroe is great, stink on ice.)

Football is the most boring sport in the world...which is why advertisers pay millions of bucks for a 30-second ad during the Super Bowl. ??

Anyway, Lisa, your Fins cost me in an office pool, too!! :-( Who knew they'd have an offense this year?

Congrats, anyway. All three FL teams won, so I'm pretty content.
