One of my favorite places, the Toledo Museum of Art

As I knew I had to head downtown today to pick up the tickets for the country western show that I won, thank you again:

I decided today would be a good day to visit the Art Museum. The linked article in the Blog Title tells you about the Toledo Area Artists Exhibit which will continue until July 24th. Some of the work by local artists is very good. Some of it of course made Aubrey and I decide we had missed our calling as we were pretty sure we could replicate a few pieces, but it was well worth seeing.

Aubrey and I have different styles of art viewing. She speeds thru heading for pieces that immediately appeal to her where I like to pause and look at each piece, the ones I really enjoy I pause longer at. Starting with the classical/egyptian pieces is a must if Aubrey is with me. Now that she is older (still impatient) it's possible to go thru the whole museum before she's decided she's had enough culture for one day.

She had never seen the Cloisters before so was impressed with that, as well as the Asian Art selection since she has developed her brother's interest in all things Japanese.

We have an awesome Museum so if you haven't been there in a while? It is still free admission, and only three dollars for parking. An excellent bargain for a few hours of enjoyment.
