I never win contests, well I did once back when I was five and the Toledo Blade had a coloring contest and I won a Kool-Aid tent...but typically I don't win. I still enter those I think are fun but I don't win.
So imagine my surprise when I heard from:

That I had actually won their summer stress poll contest. The prize is four tickets to see John Michael Montgomery at the Detroit Energy Music Theatre. Aubrey, age 10 for those of you who haven't read about her in the past is a diehard Country music fan.
I am not. That said? She will get a chance to so something she's never done, and I can be happy that I have broken my 40 year losing streak.

lmao, you know me. I will never ever be a country music fan. I am however enjoying how excited Aubrey is about it. Line dancing was about as far as I could take the whole "country music experience" because I admit that was fun. However, I will watch Urban Cowboy again...might get me in the mood for some boot scootin boogie.....
:-)
I'm happy that you won and that Aubrey will be happy. I am sure she will have a good time. I feel for you , Lisa. I had to go see Reba McEntire with Traci Clark and John somethingorother as her opening acts. My wife and my 10 year old daughter wanted to go, since they both looooove Reba. They had a great time and, even though I do not like country music, Reba does put on a very entertaining show, for what it's worth.
At the age of ten, my daughter has seen Hilary Duff (what a shock), Shaina Twain, Dolly Parton, and Reba McEntire in the last two years and in that order. My wife went with her for the first three (Dolly was my birthday present to my wife who never seen Dolly live ever, since Dolly has never come up this north before. And my daughter was her guest) and I had to come for the last one. Yes we watch the Reba show too. I have seen Reba four times (because my wife and I made a deal that she would come see Rush with me if I went to see Reba with her).
Try to have fun and don't let those beer drinking rednecks annoy you. Yep, we gots them here in Jersey, too. Have fun anyway. :)
C, I would much rather go to Rush, to bad we aren't closer or we could work a trade, my daughter could go with your wife and your daughter and I would happily go see Rush.
:-)
This will be her first concert so she's pretty excited. Well with the exception of the music under the stars at the zoo, but that was classical so she doesn't seem to count that as a "real" concert.
Where did you find it? Interesting read Lord of the rings e
