Cindy McCain gets the Condi Rice treatment...

It's hard to take this stuff seriously anymore. Look at the picture that CNN decided to use for Cindy McCain. It's the same thing they've done over and over again, pick an unflattering picture for those they don't like and a good one for those they do.

CNN's not alone in this, but seriously, how petty has this whole thing gotten?

I lost total faith in CNN when I discovered that they are selective when it comes to what comments they allow to be posted. If you make reasonable arguments and are not pro-Obama? Your comment does not get posted a majority of the time, which means it appears they are purposely creating the impression that people who comment at CNN are anti-McCain. They only select a few posts of the opposing view.

There are no bias-free networks unfortunately. They did this with Clinton constantly.

Yes, they did, I'm trying to keep my pro-Clinton rhetoric down. That's where you come in, I knew you'd point out Hillary for me.

:-)

It would be honest of all news networks if they just put "Sponsered by (candidate's name here)" on the forehead of the newsreaders.

Given the dismissive attitude underlying the entire McCain campaign currently, hostile posturing, which is the message of the article cited, by Ms. McCain is to be expected. Therefore, an angry picture isn't a stunning choice. However, I do remember similar imagery employed during Senator Clinton’s campaign, which could have had latent messages that I haven’t thought of. Although they generally followed an angry - and justifiable - rant.

Our local daily newspaper has a habit of selecting less than flattering pictures of those they don't agree with, which is perhaps why I notice this kind of thing more.

I've also noted it happens more to women than men, with other women in power getting similar treatment. I picked Condi Rice because either she rarely takes a flattering picture, or those are not the ones used.

Oh Alex. I was somewhat agreeing until you said "rant." I don't think Clinton went on rants. She pointed out unfair attacks and sexism in the media. There is a difference.

Lisa Renee - It is absolutely sexism!
