On clocks, grandfather and mantel...

A few months ago when I was looking at grandfather clocks, I spotted one particular grandfather clock that I fell in love with, it's unique design with the aged iron look is beautiful. Some of the grandfather clocks out there now even come with your choice of musical selection such as ode to joy chimes. When I was on the phone recently, my friend told me that his doorbell and his grandfather clock both have a Westminister chime and that the dog somehow know the difference between the door bell and the clock, even though the two sound very similar; they only bark at the doorbell. I learned about the new chimes on the blog that is a part of the www.1-800-4clocks.com store website.

One particular clockmaker that I like is Howard Miller, both the Howard Miller Grandfather Clocks and the Howard Miller Mantel Clocks have a great deal of variety and selection from a company that has a trusted name in the clock business. There are an amazing number of different styles of clocks on their website from atomic clocks that pick up the low frequency radio signal from the Cesium Atomic Clock Time Keeper in Fort Collins, Colorado to standard wall clocks.
